Tattoo - Would You?
Following the high profile split between Ashley the-money-grabbing-cheating-bastard and the delectable Cheryl Tweedy it has been announced that Cheryl is going to have laser surgery to remove her husband's name from the nape of her neck.
She is not the first...Other high profile celebs have also had to remove the name of a lover following a split.
It begs the question...why on earth get their name tattooed on your body to begin with?
I like certain tattoos in certain places as long as they are tasteful but I would never have the name of a lover forever imprinted on my body. To me that's jsut plain common sense.
What about everyone else? Do you, or have you ever, or would you even consider, having a tattoo of the name of your lover?

Re: Tattoo - Would You?
I have one tattoo of a lizard, etched on my left shoulderblade, where it can be concealed if needed. No, I certainly wouldn't even have my husband's name tattoed on my body, for divorce is high in this country.
I hear Cheryl is thinking of having hers lasered off. Well, it still leaves scarring. If she can find a good and reputable tattoist, he can ink over it, and transform it into another pattern. Thereby she loses the Cole name, and doesn't have to endure scars. ( I know tatts can hurt ).
Tattoos are normally forever, a lot of relationships, even with the best intents, aren't.

It does seem a little silly to have someones name etched into ya skin, but I suppose at the time folk think that that person will be there with them forever. And i'm sure mrs cole thought that... Mr N has my name about his person, and i thought it was a lovely gesture!! But then we have married for an age..

I have a tattoo on the small of my back, it's my name in Japanese and a Celtic knot. I would never have any other tattoos and certainly not a name.
