The Hotel Bellevue Syrene
A hotel since 1820, the Bellevue Syrene, on the italian Amalfi coast, has attracted the rich and famous for centuries. Built into the cliff, high above the sea, yet close to the centre of Sorrento, it is in an incomparable position.
A haven of elegance and graciousness, decorated with frescoes and trompe l’oeil, and furnished with antiques, it has delightful, comfortable lounges, which ooze quality, as do the restaurants, which open to suit the seasons - the terrace restaurant, with lovely sea-views, for al fresco dining; the indoor dining room, with its welcoming calm of blues and greens; the elegant “Giardino d’Inverno” bar, with a piano-bar during winter; the beautiful terrace, ‘La Pergola’, with incredible views of Vesuvius and the bay, and also with a piano-bar. Visit the Pompeii room, with its richly coloured, painted walls and ceilings – a hint at the ancient Roman site on which it was built. The mixture of periods and styles, adorned with an abundance of fresh flowers, is enormously successful and stylish.
Beautiful colonnaded terraces, with unforgettable views, teem with flowers and overlook the sea. A private lift takes guests down to the bathing platforms far below. This is a very special hotel indeed.
Prices range from a modest and reasonable 105-145 GBP per night for one of the more basic rooms to 220 GBP for one of the deluxe sea view rooms. Guests are advised to book well in advance.
For anybody who believes in romance the Bellevue is a once in a lifetime unforgettable experience to be shared with that special someone.

Re: The Hotel Bellevue Syrene
It's stunning El, I'll put hat on my visiting list for sure. £220 per night seems quite reasonable for such a beautiful hotel.
You should post some pics of 'Your Venice' also on my list of places to visit.
