Police slammed for handing caution to child rapists and other sex offenders!!!
A pervert who raped a child was among thousands of serious offenders let off with a slap on the wrist by a police force criticised for ignoring grave crimes.
Warwickshire Police has been accused of letting too many criminals escape with a caution - including a man who confessed to raping a child under the age of 13 and a self-confessed pedophile who admitted to sexual grooming.
The force handed out 19 other cautions to sexual offenders over the last three years, including three men who admitted sexually assaulting under-age girls.
Two people were cautioned after they abducted a child and another was dished out to a man who admitted kidnapping a youngster.
Four people received cautions after they sexually assault one terrified man. A further two people received cautions after admitting bigamy.
The figures, from a Freedom of Information Act request, revealed the force - which is one of the smallest in the country - handed out 7,261 cautions between 2006 and 2009.
One offender was even cautioned after he escaped from police custody.
Burglars were cautioned on 82 occasions, along with four robbers.
Simon Payne, chairman of Warwickshire Police Federation, criticised the frequent use of cautions, saying serious offences were being ignored.
He said: 'For serious offences like these we have a firm belief that offenders need to go before the courts and the courts should deal with them robustly.
'Cautions are a valuable tool in the police’s armoury for low level crimes.
'It can deal with issues swiftly and proportionately.
'For example, if you have two children who have had a playground fight it may be that they are suitable for a caution - but that’s totally different to some of these more serious offences.'
Incredibly, a self-confessed paedophile who admitted sexual grooming - an aggravating factor seen by judges as a reason for imposing a prison sentence - escaped prosecution.
But today Warwickshire Police defended using cautions for serious crimes saying all cases were dealt with 'proportionately'.
A spokesman said: 'Every case is looked at individually and is dealt with proportionately in consultation with the victims and in conjunction with national crime recording and charging guidelines.
'Decisions are reviewed by a senior officer.'

WTF is going on there? A man raped a child and got a caution? It's a sickness that seems to be taking over the UK. paedophiles and child molesters only get a caution? What about the safety of the children? If it was my child I would hunt him down and make sure he couldn't ever hurt another child.

What really pisses me off, no one seems to do anything about it? Over here we have Radio Station Chat programmes, people phone in and expose police corruption, Government corruption, they expose criminals who are then traced and taken to court. A child rapists here......if caught in a Township with be beaten to death, child rape is never tolerated here, the Police will hunt them down until they are tried and put behind bars for a very long time! They hardly ever leave prison, they die there and no one cares what happens to them.
